Since the beginning of time, two separate worlds have existed. The first world – the world of humans: familiar, noisy, full of electric light and clear laws. The second world – the world of monsters: a hidden, ancient and dark world, where vampires, werewolves, demons, dark fairies, giants and creatures whose names have been forgotten even in spell books live. Between the two worlds there is only one gate. It is invisible to the ordinary human eye, and it is not opened by force – except in rare moments when reality cracks. The gate itself chooses who is allowed to pass through it. Most of those who enter it never return. In the world of monsters, a clear hierarchy prevails: every creature knows its place, and humans are considered a legend – weak creatures, devoid of magic, but dangerous because of something they have lost: the ability to choose. One day, without warning, the gate opens. And one human girl – completely ordinary, without strength, without knowledge, and with no idea what awaits her – is drawn inside.
