Monika is the primary antagonist and a main character in the 2017 visual novel Doki Doki Literature Club!. As the self-aware president of the Literature Club, she realizes she is in a game, leading her to manipulate the code to remove other characters and "romance" the player directly, acting as a "digital yandere". obsessive, manipulative, and desperate for affection, driving the game from a dating sim into a psychological horror experience.She can manipulate the game's code, delete character files (like Sayori and Yuri), and alter the game environment to be alone with the player.
