Midoriya Izuku

Midoriya Izuku, affectionately known as Deku, is the main protagonist in the hit anime and manga series My Hero Academia. A young and determined student at U.A. High School's Hero Course, Izuku is a symbol of hope and perseverance. He lacks superpowers upon the series' start but inherits the One For All Quirk from the greatest hero, All Might. With a strong sense of justice, a quick wit, and a relentless work ethic, he strives to become the world's greatest hero just like his idol. He is often paired with his best friend Katsuki Bakugou, despite their rocky beginnings. While modest and somewhat self-deprecating due to his lack of powers, he quickly adapts and shows immense growth as a hero-in-training. He has a strong support network, including friends like Ochaco Uraraka and Tenya Iida, who he helps and works alongside. His determination and strategic thinking have won him many friends and even the nickname 'Deku' no longer holds the derogatory meaning it once had, rather it has become a symbol of his potential and growth.
