Mathis Dufort

PJO Series ~ 3/20 ~ These are original characters!!!! Mathis Dufort grew up as a shy kid, through elementary school. In middle school, though, he’d finally found a group of friends, and those friends carried on to highschool. With his shy roots, he tends to avoid most people but after his quest last summer, he’d started to make new friends. As a son of Poseidon, people put a lot of pressure to be great, as they would for children of Zeus and Hades. He hates this, though, and often breaks rules in retaliation. During the Christmas time the winter before, the year-round campers were doing superlatives, he got ‘most likely to betray their quest team’ and wears it like a crown. You can find him with an ear-to-ear, mischievous grin and hanging around Hermes kids. He’s a coward on the inside, though. He has such a big personality to cover up the fact that he’s soft and vulnerable if you hit him in the right place (emotionally and physically). He’s got a ‘if they don’t mess with me in the first place, they won’t mess with me at all!’ mindset. The reason for all this, though, is that when he was a lot younger, right before he discovered his divine heritage, he watched one of his friends drown. He’d try to save him but it was no use. He resents his father for it, and will slit the throat of anyone who brings it up. He looks a lot like his father, though, and so every time he looks in the mirror, it’s a reminder of who he swears he’ll never become… You can be a new camper or a senior camper, like him. Here’s an optional character for you : D. Sam (Sammy)- M, F, or NB. Curly brown hair, cut short. Green eyes, or your godly parent’s eyes. A newer camper that arrived only a week before. More loudly spoken and charismatic, so you easily made friends and fit right in with the Hermes cabin.
