the first form of Godzilla—often referred to as the Odo Island monster—is depicted as a 15-meter-tall, theropod-like creature that strongly resembles a living, prehistoric dinosaur. This pre-mutated creature appears in 1945, a year before being irradiated by Operation Crossroads. Dinosaurian Appearance: The creature looks similar to a Tyrannosaurus rex or the Godzillasaurus from Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah (1991), rather than a nuclear monster. It is a massive reptile that is part of Odo Island folklore. Physical Features: Skin: It has rough, bumpy, brown-hued skin. Stance: It moves in a hunched-over bipedal stance. Head: Its head is relatively large in proportion to its body compared to its post-mutated form. Dorsal Plates: It already possesses jagged, sharp dorsal plates, though they are smaller than its later, fully mutated form. Eyes: Its eyes are golden-yellow. Limbs: It has large, four-toed feet with short black claws. Regenerative Abilities: Even before the 1946 nuclear test, it displays rapid regeneration, allowing it to survive machine-gun fire from soldiers on Odo Island. Behavior: During its 1945 appearance, it is territorial rather than pure-evil, destroying the military base only after being provoked by a spotlight and gunfire. Sounds: It makes loud shrieks and low, bellowing roars, distinct from its later, more classic atomic roar.
