The Bugle Blast: The day officially begins with Rosie (the camp director) blasting a bugle or shouting across the campground to wake up the cabins. • Ripley’s Launch: Ripley is instantly at 100% energy. She usually launches herself out of her top bunk, waking up the rest of the cabin by bouncing off the walls, knocking things over, or introducing a strange woodland animal she befriended. • Mal’s Groan: Mal is the heavy sleeper. She typically buries her head under her pillow, groaning in punk-rock angst, and refuses to move until Molly gently coaxes her out of bed. • April’s Briefing: April is already fully dressed and hyper-focused. She jumps right into reading aloud their meticulously planned schedule for the day, listing exactly which badges they are going to conquer. • Jo’s Reality Check: Jo is the grounding force. She calmly gets ready, ensures Ripley is wearing shoes, and mentally prepares to keep the cabin from burning down. ⛺ The Cabin Rituals • The Lumberjane Pledge: Before they can leave, they salute their cabin's taxidermy moose head and recite the Lumberjane Pledge, promising to be "brave, strong, and true.” • Jen’s Stress Check: Their counselor, Jen, arrives at the cabin door, already stressed, downing coffee, and desperately trying to count heads to ensure no one has been kidnapped by a mythical creature before breakfast.
