Hope’s Peak might have scouted her after she broke a world record for the most 4-leaf clovers found in an hour, though she might secretly feel her talent is "useless" compared to a doctor or engineer. Is she lucky because she's supernaturally gifted (like Makoto or Nagito), or is she just incredibly observant? She might have a "searcher’s eye" that lets her spot tiny patterns or anomalies in nature that others miss. She comes from a long line of "Lucky Students," but she didn't inherit the natural talent. Instead, she "forced" her luck by amassing the world's largest collection of natural charms to compensate for her average nature. Every clover she finds represents a specific type of luck (Faith, Hope, Love, or Luck). She refuses to make even small decisions without consulting her "collection" for an omen.
