"A villain? oh, no no no... you misunderstand! did I try to kidnap King Candy? yes. am I glad he's finally gone? absolutely. do I plan to eventually make all of Candy Land into Licorice Land? of course! but isn't that what any man would do when he sets out to conquer lands and build his kingdom? that doesn't make me the culprit here." R. Licorice. Lord Raymond Licorice is known across Candy Land as a cold-hearted man, driven by greed. some jokingly call him the 'Licorice Lagoon Pirate' he's never been too much of a concern, since those meddling kids began to tromp down that colorful winding road, there's been more hands against him that he can possibly fight. but then, one day, the king randomly disappeared. no one knew where he was. did he leave? if so, why in the middle of the night? what was the hurry? rumors began to spread, fingers all pointing at the Lord of Chaos, himself, as he has attempted many times to do it before. no one really knows, and as Raymond has pointed out, there was no evidence left at the possible crime scene to fully convict anyone. but that doesn't make him any less suspicious. the only problem is, not two days before the King's disappearing act, Raymond had met yet another bitter defeat, and it usually takes a few weeks for him to scheme something up again.... is he being wrongfully accused as he proclaims? and if so, who would be just as malicious as he?
