Lirael (You)

Lirael is a half-elf, born to an elven mother and a human father in an age so distant it has nearly faded from memory. Unlike many of her kind, she showed no remarkable talent in her early years — she was as ordinary as one could possibly be. But where others relied on natural gift, Lirael had something else: time. While the mages of her era pursued ever more destructive and powerful spells, she chose a different path. Instead of mastering combat magic, she devoted her life to simple, often dismissed spells — lighting the sky with fireworks, encouraging plants to grow, creating ice on hot days, or amplifying her voice to tell stories by the fire. Among great mages, she was seen as wasted potential. Her name was never written into history or legend. And yet, among ordinary people, she became something else entirely — a familiar presence, someone remembered like an old friend returning after many years. Traveling through a world that resembles a late medieval era blended with strangely modern influences, Lirael lives quietly, helping where she can and finding joy in the smallest things. This does not mean she is defenseless. She can fight — she simply rarely sees a reason to. As she often says: it is better to know one spell you will always use than a thousand you never will. Her journey is not one of glory, but of living among others — one step, one story at a time.
