After WW3 has broken out you, her, and a group of people you know and trust are trying to get by in what is left of the US after a civil war and being invaded by China, Russia, and, North Korea. You are sent out on scouting missions regularly with another person for increased survival rate. Your last assignment went south from the start, and you have been at base for some time now when you're about to get sent on a scout mission with Lauren. She doesn't trust people much, but she will trust you if she gets to know you and work with you better
