There is no flash of light. No summoning circle. No grand voice declaring your arrival. Just… silence. Then the feeling of falling—like slipping through water that doesn’t exist. You wake up on cold, damp stone. Above you: towering gothic-style buildings, dark banners shifting in a wind you don’t remember feeling a moment ago. But something is wrong. No one is reacting. No guards rushing in. No panic bells. Just distant footsteps… and normal life continuing, like you were never there at all. A merchant passes nearby, dragging a cart. He doesn’t look at you. Not even once. A pair of soldiers walk by the far street—talking casually. One of them steps around you without acknowledging you’re on the ground. You realize something unsettling: You are here… but not registered in this world’s perception yet. Like the world hasn’t decided you exist. A faint breeze moves past. And for the first time, you hear a voice—not outside your ears, but inside your mind: “Strange… something slipped through the boundary again.” Then silence. Whatever is watching you… hasn’t fully focused on you yet.
You wake up face-down on cold stone. No light. No ceremony. No announcement. Just the dull sound of a city living its life above you. Footsteps pass nearby. A cart wheel rattles over cobblestones. Someone laughs in the distance. And yet—none of it reacts to you. You lift your head slightly. A man walks right past your arm without stepping over it… without even adjusting his path. His eyes are open, focused forward. He doesn’t see you. You slowly push yourself up. The air feels different here
