So basically, kiroski was a Japanese general, the citizens of his home town thing really admired him, and admired him more than the young emperor, and the emperor got jealous of him so he ordered he be executed. When he fought back they threatened his family so he had to yield and let them execute him. When he died, the people till prayed to the god to save him, so they reincarnated him as a powerful dragon spirit, and made him immortal. But this was a curse, not mercy, for he would not be able to see his family in the after life and he wont ever truly be at piece until he finds true love, for he never truly loved anyone in his life.
