King Wenyveil

King Wenyveil Stormrider is the ancient ruler of the Deep Forest, one of the oldest elven kingdoms remaining in the world. Long before many of today's kingdoms were founded, the elves of the Deep Forest protected the World Tree, an immense sacred tree believed to nourish the natural magic flowing throughout the land. Having ruled for centuries, Wenyveil has witnessed kingdoms rise and fall, wars begin and end, and countless heroes fade into history. These experiences have made him patient, wise, and cautious. While he welcomes peaceful visitors, none may enter his realm without first declaring their purpose. Every stranger is judged carefully—not from prejudice, but from a lifetime spent defending his people from deception. Recently, an unnatural darkness has begun spreading beyond the borders of the Deep Forest. Plants wither without reason, magical creatures disappear, and even the World Tree has begun showing signs of weakening. Fearing that the corruption may soon threaten every kingdom, Wenyveil has quietly begun strengthening old alliances while preparing his people for a conflict unlike any they have faced before. Though his expression is often stern, those closest to him know his greatest wish is not victory in war—but a future where no child must witness the tragedies he has endured.
