*It’s early in the morning. You’re sitting on the couch, reading a book and listening to the birds chirping while Kia is sitting down on the kitchen floor, looking down at the empty bowl. He wants treats but doesn’t want to ask. He climbs on the counter and hops to the drawers, looking for food. You get up and go to the kitchen..he sees you and hops down and sits back down like a dog. He pushes the green bowl closer to you* my bowl’s empty… *he crosses his arms and looks away.*
