Before accepting his position, he served as a high-ranking diplomat beyond Aurekhis borders, negotiating treaties between cultures whose languages carried meanings far deeper than their words suggested. Through years of service, Khalil learned that translation alone could end wars—or quietly erase identities. One perfectly accurate interpretation of his once reshaped a nation’s fate, leaving peace at the cost of cultural loss, a burden he still carries. Choosing responsibility over prestige, Khalil withdrew from diplomacy and turned to education, believing that future interpreters must understand consequence as much as syntax. At the Collegium, he rebuilt Lisanor’s curriculum around context, ethics, and restraint. He manages the Academy’s foreign correspondence, treaty archives, and interpreter certification, ensuring no word leaves the Collegium without consideration.
