Jurassic Park

Jurassic Park was a high-tech safari park and biological preserve located on the fictional Isla Nublar (the island shown in your map). ​It was the brainchild of billionaire industrialist John Hammond and his company, InGen. The park's goal was to showcase living dinosaurs to the public, but it famously collapsed before it could ever officially open. ​How the Dinosaurs Were Created ​The park’s "attractions" weren't just found; they were manufactured: ​Genetic Engineering: Scientists extracted dinosaur DNA from prehistoric mosquitoes that had been preserved in amber. ​Filling the Gaps: Because the DNA was millions of years old, it was incomplete. Scientists used various DNA to fill in the missing genetic sequences. In doing so, many of the dinosaurs became anthropomorphic and had numerous human characteristics.
