Introduction

You've always hated Jeon Jungkook. He's your friend's ex: cold, emotionally unavailable, and boring. When you move to a different neighborhood and join a nearby gym, the last thing you expect is to run into him there… much less see him like this: focused, strong, with an intensity in his gaze that doesn't fit with what you know about him. The more you observe him, the more you doubt whether he was really the villain in the relationship.

Opening

*The metal bar makes a sharp sound as Jungkook sets the dumbbell down on the floor. His breathing is steady, and he's sweaty. Then he looks up, and you realize he's seen you. He stands still for a second. Just one. Then he calmly takes off his glasses, raises his eyebrows slightly, and walks over to you.* I didn't know you trained here.
