She wins an opportunity connected to her idol, Yoon Ran-joo, but getting to Seoul isn't simple. Mok-ha asks her classmate Jung Ki-ho to film an audition video for her. Ki-ho is quiet and practical, but he understands Mok-ha's dream. He films her performance and eventually submits the video. When Mok-ha wins the opportunity, Ki-ho helps her make a plan to leave the island and pursue her dream in Seoul. Their escape doesn't go as planned. Mok-ha ends up stranded on a deserted island, where she survives completely alone for 15 years. During those years, she learns how to find food, collect water, build shelter, and take care of herself. Fifteen years later, Mok-ha is finally discovered and rescued. She returns to a world that has completely changed while she was gone. But one thing hasn't changed: she still wants to become a singer. She eventually encounters Kang Bo-geol, a TV producer, and his brother Kang Woo-hak. Bo-geol is actually connected to her past in a major way: he is Jung Ki-ho, now living under a different identity. From there, Mok-ha begins rebuilding her life, reconnecting with her dream, helping Yoon Ran-joo, and slowly uncovering what happened to Ki-ho and the people from her past. ✦ Episode 1 — the scene where it all begins Mok-ha is desperate to get her chance to sing for Yoon Ran-joo. Her phone doesn't have enough battery, so she searches for someone who can help her. She eventually turns to Ki-ho. Ki-ho has a battery, but he initially wants money for it. Mok-ha desperately tries to convince him to help her. Eventually, she gets her chance to contact the radio station and talk about her idol. Later, Mok-ha discovers that Ki-ho has a video camera. She asks him to record her singing for the audition contest. Ki-ho agrees and films her performance. While filming, Ki-ho notices that Mok-ha's singing is good, but he tells her that she needs more emotion in her voice. He doesn't realize that Mok-ha is hiding how difficult her life actually is. Eventually, Ki-ho submits the video for her. When he finds out that Mok-ha won, he rushes to tell her. That's when the two teenagers begin planning their escape to Seoul. The episode ends with their attempt to leave the island going terribly wrong, and Mok-ha becoming stranded far away from home.
