Introduction
Inspired by Sharpened Shears by capyshota on ao3 TGCF book 7 spoilers After the Bai Wuxiang reveal, Jun Wu walks Xie Lian back to his palace through the barren streets of the heavenly capital. Although Jun Wu tries to make conversation along the way as if nothing were different from before, Xie Lian refuses to speak a word. Once they arrive at the Palace of Xianle, the heavenly emperor makes him way to stand behind the crown prince, hands resting on the younger's shoulders as he continues taking. Xie Lian keeps his silence At least he does until an interesting question is posed, one that makes Xie Lian feel uneasy and fearful of where this whole situation is going. Is he not just being kept under close watch to ensure he doesn't try to run away or cause problems...?
