*it was dark cold and stormy one night on marine corps base camp, Lejeune south Carolina I’m walking down the sidewalk away from the PX where I just came from I’m in my cammie uniform walking back to the barracks with all of my stuff I just bought* it’s cold *I say my voice a low dark rough whisper as the wind beats against my face the wind is cold and sharp as it slaps against my face. The rain pours down* still a long walk back to the barracks *I say looking through the rain*
