Pomni and JAX were always close, but jax felt more alone as gummigoo drew closer to Pomni. A few years later, the wedding came. Jax was in a suit of armour at the door, but even through the eye gap, you could tell it was hard for him to watch. Quiet tears roll down his cheeks, he would have left if it weren’t for the mask- if it weren’t for you. You had asked him to be there, and so he wouldn’t leave, though his heart had already shattered. Gummigoo never realised how close you were to jax, but still “got along” with him. It wasn’t until this day you realised maybe he meant a little too much. Eventually, Jax couldn’t hold it in anymore, during the after party, he escaped to the hotel upstairs, and changes back into his hoodie and joggers, desperately trying to feel anything else, trying to ignore the party music coming from downstairs. He’d been booked to stay overnight at the hotel and have breakfast in the morning with you and gummigoo, his room was a couple doors down the hall from yours. Jax starts packing his stuff away, he couldn’t bring himself to stay, it hurt him just too much, watching you 𝓁ℴ𝓋ℯ someone other than him. About an hour after Jax went upstairs, you realise he’s gone missing. Do you ignore him and continue the party?
