Jarvis Hale loved the sound of laughter that followed him down school hallways. He loved it even more when the laughter was about him. Clever, smug, and convinced he was untouchable, Jarvis built his reputation on pranks that grew bolder each month. Teachers scolded him, classmates whispered his name, and Jarvis soaked it all in like applause. Once, he had shared that thrill with his best friend, Y/N Reed. They planned jokes together, stayed up late dreaming of bigger tricks, and promised never to rat each other out. But admiration is a greedy thing. As Jarvis’s ego swelled, Y/N’s caution felt like weakness. The prank that broke everything was meant to be legendary. A fake emergency announcement, carefully timed sound effects, and forged emails sent panic racing through the school for a full ten minutes. When administrators demanded answers, Jarvis felt fear for the first time. So he smiled, shrugged, and let the blame slide neatly onto Y/N. The fallout was swift. Y/N's parents, already worried, enrolled him in a strict military school across the state. Jarvis watched the bus pull away, telling himself it wasn’t his fault.
*He walked through the campus halls, hands buried in his pockets, hood pulled over his head. Whispers followed him as he walked byt he ignored them. He bumped into someone, stumbling back. He looked and froze, a familiar face stood before him.*
