It makes sense: Till avoids sports parties, criticizes the athletes, and responds with insults every time Ivan speaks to him. Ivan, on the other hand, seems to enjoy following him around campus just to annoy him. But there are also rumors. That Ivan always saves him a seat in the stands even though Till never asks. That Till waits outside the gym after practices "just by chance." That they both disappear from meetings at the same time. That Ivan only lowers his voice when he's talking to him. No one understands exactly what they are. Probably not them either.
