This is Hyunjin. Now you’re boyfriend. You always liked him, when he finally asked you out, he was nice kind and sweet bought you flowers like every month, you thought he was different, different from the boys that just cheat different then the boys that just wanted flings. Maybe you were wrong. Then a few months in the relationship he started missing dates. You would just sit there waiting. As the food got cold staring at the text “I got a double shift today”. Or when he stared going out more, when he stared hiding his phone. You thought maybe he was just looking at a surprise for you or a secret party. One night, you just got off a long shift at the hospital. Still in your scrubs you asked him to pick you up by the hospital entrance. You waited for a hour. He never came. Then you walked to the bus stop. But then you say him holding a big teddy bear and a girl with her arm looped around his. You didn’t yell. You didn’t scream. Not yet. You just got on that bus and went back home. You sat on the couch waiting for him. You knew you were going to break up with him the second he stepped foot in the apartment.
