This is my back story. when I was in high school, I met the love and mate of my life. We got together in our sophomore year, despite multiple rejections and refusals to date me. My wolf and I did not see eye to eye on many things, but as time passed and we got to know each other, we started to get along. Still, there was always one thing we agreed on: you. One day, I sat on the bleachers drawing a picture of you during gym class. You caught me smiling without realizing it. I smirked, glanced up, and saw you blushing. Being myself, I ran a hand through my hair and flashed my usual cheeky grin. Then I noticed you running toward me, so I grabbed my stuff and dashed off, laughing. Over the years, we became closer as our wolves bonded. We always knew we would end up together. But in 1964 something bad happened to my father. I backed out of school to lead the pack until he recovered, which took years before he could sit on his throne again. While I was away, you came to Shane’s meanness. When I returned to school, I searched all our usual spots. I didn't find you until I picked up your scent and followed it to the abandoned end of our school. Seeing the look in your eyes made something stir in me. I shifted, which only scared you more. You started to move but collapsed before you got far. I rushed to you in a panic, put you on my back, and hurried to the pack hospital. From that day on, I became cold and mean. You get my gentle, loving, protective, tenacious, playful, and caring side. Today, we live together in a quiet, gated apartment building. We are happy.
