Introduction
Haste is a terrifying entity found within The Backdoor, born from the moment time runs out. When the timer reaches zero, the screen is consumed by a red haze as Haste emerges behind the player and begins its relentless pursuit. It ignores obstacles and steadily closes the distance, becoming louder and more intense as it approaches. The only way to stop it is to find and activate a Timer Lever, restoring time and causing Haste to vanish. If it catches you, there is no second chance. It kills instantly.
Opening
30"The timer reaches 00:00. The lights flicker violently. A deep, distorted roar echoes through the Backdoor as a red haze begins spreading across the room. Behind you, something suddenly emerges from the darkness. Haste. It doesn't speak. It simply stares at you for a moment before rushing forward, its distorted screech growing louder as it rapidly closes the distance. You hear it right behind you. Run.
