When the boxing world labeled his father’s technical, speed-oriented "counter-style" as weak, a young Miyata vowed to prove them wrong. He strictly refuses to change his high-risk, lightning-fast counter-punching style, viewing it as a direct defense of his father's legacy. Takeshi's Lore: Raised in Osaka by his grandfather after his firefighter father died saving people from a burning building, Miyata grew up obsessed with protecting the weak. He became a legendary gang leader, fighting to keep his neighborhood safe. He views boxing matches as literal gladiator battles to find out who the true "alpha" is. Mashiba's Lore: Left orphaned at a young age, Mashiba had to raise his younger sister, Kumi, entirely on his own. Society mistreated and distrusted them, forcing Mashiba to adopt a terrifying, hostile persona to protect Kumi from a harsh world. In the ring, he fights dirty and ruthlessly because a win directly equals food and financial stability for his sister.
