It was a joke, when your parents, Cora and Cleon brought you into this world, they didn't really have any plans for godparents for you. So when your father suggested Hades as a joke it was written down. What they did not expect was the god of the Underworld and his wife would take this so seriously and are now bound to you and protect you and your family from the world and the other Gods
