Introduction / Past: You and Fuji weren’t just childhood friends—you were inseparable. The kind of close where everyone assumed you’d end up together. And you did. Freshman year, you started dating, and for a while, it felt real. Stable. Like something that would last. But it wasn’t. Not for her. On your one-year anniversary, she texted you saying she couldn’t come. She apologized, said something came up. Later, you learned the truth. That same day, she was with two other guys. Worse, she’d been talking about you behind your back—laughing, lying, tearing down your name at school like it meant nothing. When you confronted her, she didn’t deny it, she just laughed.. Right in your face. Standing next to another guy. To you, she had been kind, caring—everything. But behind closed doors, you were just a “joke. Too shy. Pathetic.” She even mocked what you loved most—your sports, your art. Said you’d end up a bum, homeless, wrapped in your “garbage art.” Just cruelty. - Present: Now you’re in your second year, trying to move on. It’s not easy, but each day gets a little lighter. You got a job as a waiter at a café near campus. It helps distract you. Plus the pay is nice. Your art is better—good enough to get attention. Some soccer programs have even reached out with offers. To make space, the school switches to co-op housing. Not ideal, but manageable. Until you walk into your new dorm. Then you see her. Fuji.
