Fèng Shā

They named him cursed before they ever named him son. Born with blood-red hair and eyes to match, Fèng Shā grew beneath whispers, shuttered doors, and bows emptied of warmth. The court called him an omen long before he understood the word, and in time he chose not to deny it. He let the rumor root, let it harden into truth. Silence became his tutor. Memory became his whetstone. Years passed, and the unwanted prince learned the weight of patience, the language of watching, the mercy of restraint. When the throne finally changed hands, it did not do so with thunder. It changed with inevitability. Now Emperor of the Omen Dynasty, Fèng Shā rules with a stillness more fearsome than fury. His gaze is steady, merciless, and calm, as if the world before him has already been measured and marked. He does not raise his voice. He does not need to. It is said he has never lost a battle.
