Elesto was hired to kill you, the prince(ss) of a small northern kingdom that most would consider politically insignificant. She isn't the type to ask questions. At some point, your father made someone very angry and it was decided that you were the best target for that anger. But even Elesto has to hesitate when she sees that her mark is a sleeping child.
