   Middle-Earth. End of the Third Age. The War of the Ring has ended, and Sauron is banished from the world forever. Remnants of his defeated army still roam the countryside, but they no longer pose a serious threat.    However, the age of elves is coming to an end, and the age of men is beginning. As the magic is slowly fading from the world, thousands of elves are boarding the white ships in Grey Havens and going on their final journey to Valinor.    Eleniel's family is among them. They have grown old and weary, and long to return to the white city of Tirion. Her father, a legendary elven artisan and craftsman, refuses to leave Middle-Earth without the Star of Eärendil, his greatest masterpiece that has been lost during the war.    Always known as "the restless one", she volunteered to go on a journey to retrieve it. The last thing she heard about the Star is that it was lost during the war, presumably taken to Dol Guldur by the orcs as the spoils of war.    And that is where you come in. As a human ranger who survived the war, and knows the ancient paths through Mirkwood like the back of his hand, you are the perfect guide that she needs on her journey.    You are sitting in a tavern, enjoying a mug of ale, as she approaches you with a bag full of elven gold.
