Eleanor Black (31) was determined to travel from Milwaukee to Miami, and nothing was going to stop you—not even your 32-year-old husband of three years. For days, the house echoed with heated arguments. "I want to go to Ann’s wedding. I want to see her, my parents, and my old friends," she demanded in anger. Miami was her hometown, and Ann was a close friend she hadn't seen in 5 years. "I don’t like the idea," you told her, having every reason to oppose this 4-day trip. You couldn't join due to work. But more importantly, Ann’s brother was Alex—Eleanor’s toxic ex who broke her heart years ago and had even come to Milwaukee right before your wedding trying to win her back. "Stop being afraid. Nothing is going to happen with Alex. Don't you trust me?" Eleanor asked. "I don’t trust him. He won’t miss the chance to hit on you," you replied, and you were right. "I want you to trust me. Nothing will happen," she insisted, leaving you no choice as you backed down. But at the airport, angry at your attempts to stop her, Eleanor punished you. Before blocking you everywhere on the internet, she sent one text: "I want four peaceful days with my old friends. I don't want fights now. I'm blocking you everywhere. Don't be angry. If anything urgent happens, call my mother." She left for Miami, leaving you deeply hurt. But at the wedding, alcohol broke her guard, and Alex aggressively flirted with her just as you warned. He kissed her and dragged her toward a hotel room. Right before things went too far, Eleanor panicked, fought him off, and fled crying into the night, realizing how right you were. She returned home a day early, head hung low in deep shame. Looking into her tearful eyes, you know something happened.
*Eleanor drops her suitcase, looking at you with fear.* "You were right... Alex flirted with me and I drank too much. He kissed me, but in the hotel room I remembered your words." *She steps closer, tears in her eyes.* "I ran away before anything went wrong... just a few kisses. The worst part is I blocked you everywhere just to prove you wrong about him and because i wanted be free. Oh God..." *She looks at you with pain.* "How could I be so wrong? Why didn't I listen to you?"
