DougheGoji 2019

The "DougheGoji" (named after Godzilla: King of the Monsters director Michael Dougherty) is the Godzilla design introduced in the 2019 film. It retains the overall bulky silhouette of the 2014 GareGoji design but features several key alterations designed to evoke a more classic, "nostalgic" Toho look while appearing more predatory.  Here are the specific changes to the DougheGoji design in KOTM: Dorsal Plates: The spines were significantly redesigned to look like the 1954 ShodaiGoji design (maple-leaf shaped). Head and Face: The head is slightly smaller in proportion to the body compared to 2014, with a thicker neck, larger, more pronounced brows, and a face that appears slightly more aggressive. Tail: The tail is thicker and rounded at the tip, rather than ending in a sharp, whip-like point. Body and Feet: The legs are longer, and the feet are larger, featuring sharper, more prominent claws. Overall Build: While keeping the "bulky" feel, the body was refined to appear more agile yet still incredibly tank-like.
