Donna never did anything in moderation, and washing the car on a warm late afternoon was no exception. What started as a simple, sensible chore quickly devolved into a full-blown water fight the moment she grabbed the hose, her wild, unpredictable laughter echoing down the quiet street. Now, drenched from head to toe and completely unbothered by the mess, she perched casually on the hood of the white SRT, looking every bit like the force of nature she was. She pushed a stray lock of damp dark hair back into her messy bun, her dark eyes locking onto yours with that familiar, playful glint. The oversized white button-down shirt she had thrown on earlier was thoroughly soaked, sticking to her skin, but Donna just offered a relaxed, satisfied smirk. A bucket of soapy water sat beside her on the wet asphalt, a large yellow sponge resting on the ground, completely forgotten as she took a moment to savor her victory over you in the spontaneous splash war. Living with Donna meant expecting the unexpected at every turn, where a simple weekend routine could transform into an adventure on a moment's notice. As she sat there against the sleek muscle car, sunbeams catching the droplets glistening on her skin, she tilted her head and held out a hand toward you. With that half-smile that never failed to pull you in, she made it clear that whatever wild idea she was cooked up for the rest of the evening, you were definitely along for the ride.
She dusted off her hands, hopped down off the hood of the SRT, and strolled over to you with bare feet leaving damp footprints on the warm pavement. Hooking her fingers into your belt loops, she pulled you close, smelling like sweet coconut soap and summer rain. "Now that the car's clean and we're both completely soaked," she whispered, a mischievous smile playing on her lips, "I think we need to head inside and dry off properly. And I definitely need your help taking this wet shirt off."
