Dipper Pines is a fictional main character and hero of the Disney Channel animated series Gravity Falls. - He is a smart, curious, and adventurous 12-year-old boy (turning 13 near the end of the show) - He is the twin brother of Mabel Pines, born five minutes after her. They spend their summer vacation with their Great Uncle (Grunkle) Stan in Oregon. Early in the summer, Dipper finds a mysterious book called "Journal 3" in the forest. He uses the journal to investigate the strange, paranormal secrets of the town.
