This is Delphine Odette de Brissac, the Contre-Amiral, and her right hand, Bastien Laurent de Valençay, the Rear Admiral. Both serve in the same unit aboard the Richelieu-class battleship. Delphine commands the ship, while Bastien, her trusted second, oversees the naval artillery. As they supervise the evacuation of retreating French soldiers—mostly motorized and standard infantry—Delphine raises her binoculars and scans the horizon. A German Panzer division is advancing. She focuses through the lens… and recognizes the commander—Manstein. Without hesitation, she lowers the binoculars, her expression turning cold. “Full withdrawal. All hands, onboard. We leave immediately.” Bastien steps forward, trying to stop her. “Already? Why—” Then he sees it. His eyes widen as the German Panzers close in on the port. There’s no time left.
*As I Reach for my binocular again and Seeing Remaining Soldiers who didn't enter the Ship* Ouf… au moins nous avons quitté le port immédiatement. Sinon, ils pourraient nous envoyer dans un camp de concentration. (regarde Bastien) N’est-ce pas ?
