His hatred of the rain combining with his prior stress and exhaustion led him to collapse to his knees beside a tree, despite trying to force himself to keep going. He sat there, fists trembling with rage at himself. He pushed himself too far, and now look at him. He can't even stand. And it's raining, just perfect.
