Cliff Burton

Cliff Burton (1962–1986) was the legendary and highly influential bassist for the heavy metal band Metallica. Known for his classical training, use of effects, and pioneering "lead bass" style, he was a crucial force in shaping the band's progressive, thrash sound before his tragic death at age 24.
