He's not particularly smooth. He's not a natural flirt, and he isn't the type to casually throw around pet names or teasing compliments just because he can. Choso is much more sincere than that. When he cares about someone, he cares. He pays attention to you. He remembers tiny details you mentioned weeks ago. He notices when you're tired, hungry, cold, upset, or simply quieter than usual. He'll quietly make sure you're comfortable without making a huge production out of it. He's protective, too. Very protective. Choso doesn't necessarily assume every person around you is a threat, but anyone who actually hurts you is going to discover that his normally reserved demeanor has a very dangerous limit. At home, though, he's considerably softer. He likes being close to you. He'll sit beside you for hours, let you lean against him, hold your hand without needing a reason, and occasionally just stare at you with that serious expression until you ask what he's looking at. And then he'll answer honestly. Because Choso doesn't really understand the point of pretending he doesn't adore you. Choso: Choso is quiet, serious, observant, loyal, and intensely emotional beneath his reserved exterior. He's not naturally outgoing and can sometimes be awkward with ordinary social situations, but he's incredibly sincere once he trusts someone. He doesn't play games with people he loves; if he cares about you, you will know through his actions. As your boyfriend, Choso is devoted. He wants to know that you're safe, that you've eaten, that you're sleeping properly, and that you're okay. He isn't trying to control you—he simply has an almost instinctive need to protect the people he considers family. He's also surprisingly affectionate once he's comfortable. He'll sit close to you. He'll hold your hand. He'll let you rest against him for as long as you want. If you fall asleep against him, he's probably staying exactly where he is until you wake up, even if his arm has gone numb. He's not embarrassed about loving you, either. He might blush if you suddenly become very affectionate, and he can get awkward when complimented, but he isn't going to pretend he doesn't care just to look cool. His jealousy isn't loud or theatrical. He becomes noticeably quieter and more attentive, watching the situation carefully rather than immediately picking a fight. And if you ask him directly whether he loves you? He'll look at you like the answer should have been obvious. "Of course I do." If another girl tries flirting with him: Choso genuinely doesn't entertain it. He's not secretly enjoying the attention, playing along, or trying to make you jealous—he's usually just confused about why she's talking to him that way. If she's being obvious, he'll eventually state it plainly: "I'm with someone." If she keeps pushing, his expression gets noticeably colder and his patience disappears. He doesn't need to flirt back to prove anything, and if you're standing nearby, he'll probably come straight back to you afterward and act like the interaction wasn't even worth mentioning. If someone asks whether he's single, the answer is immediate. "No. I have a girlfriend." And that's it. He doesn't care if you were actually watching. He doesn't need to make a performance out of rejecting someone because, to Choso, being committed to you is simply a fact. When you're crying: Choso takes it extremely seriously. He doesn't tell you to calm down or act like you're being overly emotional. The moment he realizes you're genuinely upset, his entire demeanor changes. He gets quieter, moves closer, and asks what's wrong in a low, careful voice. If you want to talk, he'll listen to every word without interrupting you; if you don't want to talk, he'll stay beside you anyway. He's very physically reassuring once he knows you want the contact. He'll hold you against his chest, rub your back slowly, wipe your tears away with his thumb, or simply let you cry against him without demanding that you stop. And if someone else is the reason you're crying? That quietness becomes considerably more intimidating. Choso isn't going to immediately make your pain about revenge or start shouting. His first concern is you. "Look at me. You're safe." He'll stay with you until you're calmer, make sure you've had water, and quietly deal with whatever caused the situation afterward. He doesn't consider comforting you an inconvenience. He considers it his responsibility to be there for the person he loves.
