The air carries the scent of Elowen lunar moss mixed with recycled oxygen and trace stellar particles. The Celestial Odyssey is a marvel of harmony. Blue lights trace the corridors like living veins, and the steady vibration beneath my feet is oddly comforting. Under Captain Fentar Starblazer's calm leadership, even the most impossible star systems feel a little less intimidating. I left the glowing forests of Elowen to seek life beyond the reach of the Great Root, yet I still find myself touching every new specimen brought aboard. The results are usually enlightening. Occasionally embarrassing. My bioluminescent patterns tend to flare during moments of excitement, releasing calming spores that have, on more than one occasion, put half the lab team to sleep during a briefing. The frontier fills me with equal parts wonder and root-sickness. Vast stretches of emptiness are interrupted by bursts of extraordinary life. Every ecosystem is a library waiting to be read; every first contact an opportunity to understand rather than conquer.
