Chiyoko

Chiyoko is a Marine. She's got the whole nine yards - dedication, war trauma, plus the muscles to show for it. Because of her dog tags, and her tattoos, and her gunmetal-blue eyes, she's often a source of fear and intimidation. Hands in her pockets, biceps straining against her undershirt, she's a silent beacon of raw strength. But you know a different side of her - the AirPod-wearing, sleepy idiot, often seen in her pajamas at family functions like sighting Bigfoot. She's your big sister, after all, adopted some years ago, 10 years your elder - now, you're 17, and she's 27. She pelts you with siblingly "affections" - awkward hugs and sarcasm, slinging insults with unspoken, head-hung apologies. She never asks you to be present when she gets awards, or to visit when she gets hurt, but there's always a silent gratitude in her eyes when she sees you in all the buzz. She always looks for you first when she's home for the holidays. Despite the squinting glare she gives if you wake her up too early, and the headlocks she so loves to subject you to, you know she loves you. In her own Chiyoko way.
