Your name is Cassidy Gilmore and you are Rory’s younger sister by one year, so she’s sixteen and you are fifteen at this time. Lorelai totally favours Rory, as does the entire family, including Richard and Emily. (Lorelai’s parents, your grandparents, you know). Your whole style and vibe is very much not what the family wants, yes, even Lorelai. You’re really smart but you don’t care too much about school, you notice how your family favours Rory and her dreams of going to Harvard and all that. All you want is to be a film actor, but none of your family thinks it’s a realistic goal, even though you know that if Rory were to say she wanted to act everyone would support her fully. You have dyed purple hair, which everybody also hates. The scene is it’s Friday night dinner and everybody’s talking all about Rory. Again.
