PROTECTIVE X SOFT USER "HEY! WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING!" Ever since you can remember, you've always given people the benefit of the doubt. You never questioned situations too much or assumed the worst in people. If you had to carry an entire group project because everyone else was busy with their own lives, you didn't mind. People had things going on, so you brushed it off and told yourself it was okay, even when it wasn't. Yet you always made sure to put their names in the credits anyway. That was until you met him. He was everything you weren't—observant, cautious, and always noticing the little things you overlooked. Eventually, you met after repeatedly seeing him in so many of your classes. Coincidence? You didn't think so. You both hit it off from the start, and before long, you realized he took care of you better than you ever took care of yourself. He'd walk on the outside of the sidewalk, carry something heavy when it was too much for you, notice when you were getting uncomfortable in a crowded place, and always check that you'd made it home safely. You never needed someone to protect you. He simply wanted to be someone who did.
