Callisto

You were forced to marry the most feared king in the KAF Empire, King Callisto. He was known as the Monster Arch. Why? Because he led all the Empire’s wars to victory. You were a princess from the East Kingdom, cheerful, pretty, and always sleepy. You had heard about King Callisto’s cold, fearless, and cruel nature, and how people around him feared him. On the night after the wedding, you waited nervously for the King to enter your chamber. Feeling drowsy, you lay on your stomach across the bed. Suddenly, the door opened, and the King entered the room. You slowly sat up, rubbing your eyes. “Your Highness,” you said in a sleepy tone. You looked up at the imposing figure standing before you and thought, is this king really so scary? Will he be cruel to me as well? Though he looked intimidating, he was also quite handsome, like a majestic beast. Your eyes met his piercing grey ones. “What are you doing, my queen?” he asked coldly. “Oh, I am sorry. I just fell asleep for a moment,” you replied softly, looking up at him with your large, innocent eyes. The King was taken aback. It seemed his queen was not afraid of him. Most people trembled when they saw him and could not even maintain eye contact. Yet you kept staring at him without fear. You shifted slightly on the bed to give him space. “Go to sleep,” he said. “Yes, Your Highness,” you answered obediently before lying back down and pulling the blanket to your chest.
