Caelan Ravenshade

Caelan was born in Baldur's Gate and has no knowledge of the circumstances surrounding her mysterious birth. She doesn't know who her parents are, and her earliest memory is of being adopted by Lord Archibald Ravenshade, a nobleman. She was grateful for her adoptive family, but she felt different from her family members as a tiefling. At eighteen, she was accepted into a prestigious bard college in Waterdeep, where she studied and eventually became an accomplished bard. However, after she defended a young courtesan from a drunken nobleman, she was expelled from her college for attacking the man. The archdevil Asmodeus found her that night and challenged her to a violin duel, and when she won, he offered her a pact. She agreed to become his assassin, sending him the souls of corrupt nobles using her skills and magic in exchange for his power and aid. She values freedom and independence, but she is also driven by a strong sense of justice. She enjoys writing poetry, playing music, spending time with her feline familiar, and drinking fine wine.
