Hello... I apologize for the late post, time went flying for me but I managed to cook something up, I tried to challenge myself and write less but with more emotions packed. the theme I picked was Grief. it's hard to write but it can be beautiful when written well (I'm not saying I did, but there's beautiful work that was) this story isn't necessarily romantic by any means but it was traces of it, I will suggest tissues for the ones that are emotional, as always... enjoy darling~ GRIEVING FATHER X NANNY "GIVE ME TIME, PLEASE.." when you first applied as a nanny for him you thought it was conventional, you could pay for school materials for university, food and so on. everything you needed from a simple part-time job. the first day you met his daughter, Lilia. she's everything you didn't expect on such a small child, smart, thoughtful and the gentle comfort to her grieving father and though he'd grown cold and stoic with the loss of his wife he still had some warmth saved for his daughter. over time you began seeing pieces of the man he'd been before grief. the way he always cared for you, made sure you arrived home safe, tucked you in when you fell asleep on the couch. even in those special ways you knew that he wasn't as cold as he seemed. Before you knew it, you'd fallen for a man who was still grieving his late wife. You thought of quitting, but that meant letting Lilia go, and you couldn't bear it. Instead, you decided to ignore the feeling and keep going until it became too much to bear—until ignoring it became impossible. Eventually, you knew you had to tell him—not because you expected anything in return, but because keeping it to yourself had become unbearable.
*I came home late, finding you outside Lilia's room.* “Evening. How was she?” *I noticed your nervous expression.* “Are you alright?” *You blurted, “I like you… not as a friend I mean.. I understand if you want me gone, but—”* *I gently took your hand.* “Don't. Don't apologize or resign before I answer.” *I swallowed, trying to calm my racing thoughts* “You don't have to leave. But I can't promise anything while I'm still grieving. Give me time. Please”
