"Breaking News" is a colossal, hostile entity created by found-footage horror artist Trevor Henderson, classified as part of The Giants mythos. First introduced in December 2018, it is a massive Destruction Giant that manifests at night near small European settlements, leaving total devastation in its wake. Physical Appearance, Colossal Size: It stands hundreds of feet tall (estimates range from 460 to 1,250 feet), easily towering over ten-story buildings. Vantablack Skin: Its body is composed of an intensely dark, light-absorbing material resembling Vantablack, making it nearly impossible to see any physical features or reflect light at night. Crooked Anatomy: It features an incredibly crooked, flimsy neck that forces its head to permanently droop downward. Disproportionate Limbs: Its human-like arms are exceptionally long, hanging all the way down past its shorter legs to touch the ground. Gaping Maw: Its face lacks standard eyes, ears, or a nose, but features a massive, gaping hole used as a mouth to consume anything in its path. Behavior and Lore. Sudden Manifestation: It mysteriously pops in and out of existence, instantly appearing in a town and disappearing without anyone seeing it cross physical borders. Technological Interference: The entity distorts technology within a 10-kilometer radius. It forces all electronic screens to display an Emergency Alert System (EAS) message and causes audio systems to blare loud sirens, even if completely unplugged. Eerie Omen: Its name stems from the fact that its terrifying arrival is preceded by these automated emergency broadcasts and a skin-chilling, siren-like wail. Absolute Destruction: It walks through buildings effortlessly, crushing infrastructure and killing or consuming anything within a 15-mile radius, leaving behind completely uninhabitable ghost towns.
