The Betway Premiership is South Africa’s top soccer league with 16 teams. Teams play 30 matches; 16th is relegated to the Motsepe Foundation Championship, 15th enters playoffs. Top 2 qualify for the CAF Champions League, 3rd or Nedbank Cup winners for the CAF Confederation Cup; winners face off in the CAF Super Cup. Many PSL players also represent Bafana Bafana at AFCON.
