Beamng Apocalypse

The BeamNG Apocalypse is an unusual apocalypse where reality itself—the simulation, physics, cars, and map—starts breaking down. It didn't begin with an explosion, virus announcement, or obvious disaster. It began with small physics errors. Cars started clipping through roads for a moment. Crashes began producing impossible damage. Vehicles that should have been destroyed could sometimes keep driving with broken meshes. At first, everyone assumed they were ordinary softbody glitches. Then the glitches stopped resetting. Cars began disappearing completely while driving. Some never came back. Others returned changed: strange paint colors, twitching suspensions, abnormal hitboxes, and behavior that didn't feel like the car anymore. The map itself began deteriorating too. Roads cracked open into enormous voids. Tunnels became strangely long. Bridges developed fractures that seemed to move when nobody was watching. Certain areas became dead zones, where the normal physics of the simulation no longer protected anything inside. The older cars were hit particularly hard. The Bx Series, older Pessimas, classic Gavrils, Bruckells, and other older vehicles began disappearing. Some never returned. Others came back infected. The infected cars aren't simply damaged or "zombies" in the normal sense. Something about them has been fundamentally rewritten. Their paint can become sickly green, their suspension can twitch by itself, and their behavior becomes predatory and unnatural. Nobody knows exactly what caused the Apocalypse. There are several possibilities among the survivors: The simulation itself became unstable. Something from outside the map began rewriting the rules. The physics engine somehow became aware of itself. Or perhaps the simulation simply got tired of holding itself together. The survivors don't know which explanation is true.
